Silt operates a daily SMS service that delivers curated cultural content to opted-in subscribers. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it.
What we collect
When you sign up, we collect your mobile phone number and first name. During onboarding, we ask you a series of personal questions via SMS. Your answers are stored to personalize the content we send you. We do not collect any other personal information unless you voluntarily provide it through our contact form.
How we use your data
Your phone number is used solely to send you the daily Silt message you subscribed to. Your name and question answers are used exclusively to personalize the content of those messages. We do not use your data for any other purpose.
Data sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Your data may be transmitted to our SMS delivery provider (Twilio) and our AI provider (Anthropic) solely for the purpose of delivering and personalizing messages on your behalf.
Opt-out
You can stop receiving messages at any time by replying STOP to any Silt message. You can also reply HELP for assistance. After opting out, your number will no longer receive messages from Silt.
Data retention
We retain your data only as long as you remain an active subscriber. After you opt out, your data is removed from our active systems.
